Peter blake
Peter Blake is an English pop artist who was influenced by American realist painters and as a result of it paints urban realist subjects. He has a good reputation in the art world and is referred to as the Godfather of British pop art. Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is an album by The Beatles and Peter Blake is best known for creating the album cover for it. Peter Blake's work is very organised as he divides it up into sections to structure it out. His work has a good use of composition, includes images and bright symbols and fills the whole page.
When I look at Peter Blake's work I feel like I'm looking at lots of different memories which have been combined together and then carefully been placed into different areas, maybe chronological order. The majority of the images are in colour, a few older ones are in black and white but all of them have a connection as they represent good times and happy memories. The use of the black and white images balances out the image on a whole and stops it from being too bright so the viewer can look at it without feeling they have to look away as it's too bright.
